Scholarships and Awards

Scholarships awarded vary from year to year. For the 2009-2010 year, scholarships were awarded as follows:

Miss Capital Area 2010, Mary Carolyn Archer

  • $3,000 and the right to represent the Capital Area at the 2010 Miss New Hampshire Pageant
  • Custom jewelry from J & L Woods Creations, Concord
  • A gift of Lia Sophia Jewelry valued at $100 (Pat Corlin, Representative)
  • Custom makeup consultation from Market America (Kate Lawler, Representative)
  • Dance consultation from Dance Progressions, Londonderry
  • First Runner-Up, Kacie Noelle Ferraro

  • $1,000 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • $125 Overall Interview Award (tie)
  • Second Runner-Up, Chantel McCabe

  • $700 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • Third Runner-Up, Holly Blanchard

  • $500 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • $250 Overall Talent Award
  • Fourth Runner-Up, Bess Brooks

  • $300 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • Interview Winner, Devenn Glickman

  • $125 Overall Interview Award (tie) and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • $100 Non-Finalist Talent Award
  • Miss Congeniality, Britttany Morgan Dube

  • $100 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010
  • Non-Finalist Talent Winner, Madison Rezaei

  • $100 and eligibility to compete at Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley in February 2010

  • Miss Capital Area also receives a scholarship from the Miss New Hampshire Program just for being a contestant in the state pageant. Additionally, there are scholarships available from the national level that are awarded directly to contestants in the program (contestants must apply for these scholarships individually.
