Scholarships and Awards
Scholarships awarded vary from year to year. For the 2010-2011 year, scholarships were awarded as follows:
Miss Capital Area 2011, Alyssa McLaughlin
$1,500 and the right to represent the Capital Area at the 2011 Miss New Hampshire Pageant
Overall Talent Award: $100
- Custom jewelry from J & L Woods Creations, Concord
- $300 toward a custom gown from BRAVO in Concord (AJ Silva, designer)
- Custom makeup consultation from Market America (Kate Lawler, Representative)
- Dance consultation from Dance Progressions, Londonderry
First Runner-Up, Kacie Noelle Ferraro
$500 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
$100 Overall Interview Award
Second Runner-Up, Katrina Lynne Ulaky
$400 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
Third Runner-Up, Brittany Freeman
$300 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
$250 Overall Talent Award
Fourth Runner-Up, Asheley Chaput
$200 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
Corlin Family Congeniality Award, Mackenzie Martin
$100 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
Non-Finalist Talent Winner, Mackenzie Martin
$50 and eligibility to compete at Miss Merrimack/Miss Granite State in February 2011
Non-Finalist Interview Winner, Samantha Massahos

Miss Capital Area also receives a scholarship from the Miss New Hampshire Program just for being a contestant in the state pageant. Additionally, there are scholarships available from the national level that are awarded directly to contestants in the program (contestants must apply for these scholarships individually.
