The basic eligibility requirements for competing in 2009 are that you must:
- Be at least 17 years old by the date of the local pageant.
- Be single, and never been married.
- Live, work full time, or attend school full time in NH.
- Be a high school graduate no later than six (6) months after the date of the contestants first local competition.
- Be no older than twenty four (24) on December 31, 2010.
- Be a U.S. Citizen
In addition, whoever is selected as Miss Capital Area 2010 will be bound to the following dates and appearances (but please note that this list is NOT all-inclusive and may change at any time): - Nov 21, 2009 (Sat.) Concord NH Christmas Parade
- Mid-June 2010 (exact dates TBA) Concord Monitor Fundraiser at NH International Speedway
- Mid-September 2010 (exact dates TBA) Concord Monitor Fundraiser at NH International Speedway
- Sept/Oct, 2010 (Sat. or Sun.) Miss Capital Area Teen and Pre-teen
- Oct/Nov, 2010 (Sat. or Sun.) Miss Capital Area 2011
- Attendance at Miss New Hampshire preliminary pageants from November 2009-February 2010
- Other mandatory dates in March, April and May as determined by the Miss New Hampshire office for the Miss New Hampshire Pageant in 2010. Click here for a listing of important dates that you are locked into if you win the Miss Capital Area title. All rehearsals are mandatory and may require you to rearrange your academic schedule on those dates.
